Refunds & Cancellations

Enrollment fees are non-refundable for all memberships.

Pro-rated refunds for group lessons or league fees or special events will be given if:

a. Physicians’ excuse is presented for the individual with a medical problem
b. Written notice is given by the individual that they are moving, or
c. A replacement is found for the individual.

The pro-rated refund is only for the remaining amount of sessions left in the class. Refunds are not given for classes missed or classes prior to the date of refund application.

A $5 per program session service charge will be deducted from all refunds over $5 except when a doctors note is presented.

Annual Memberships
Those individuals requesting membership refunds are given one according to the following schedule:

  • After one month or less: 70% refund
  • Before two months: 60% refund
  • Between three & five months: 50% refund
  • Between six & nine months: 20% refund
  • Between ten & twelve months: No refund

Month-to-Month Memberships
Monthly fees for Month-to-Month are non-refundable. Month-to-Month memberships must be canceled (in writing) (14) fourteen days before monthly fees are debited.

ENROLLMENT FEE:
All new members shall pay a non-refundable enrollment fee, of which the amounts, manner and time of payment shall be established by the H-F Parks Board of Commissioners and may be changed from time to time. The enrollment fee is a one-time fee, but if the membership lapses or is terminated, a returning member is subject to the enrollment fee in effect at that time.

MEMBERSHIP CARD USAGE:
All members must check in at the welcome center*, and pay any applicable fees before using the facility. Members are required to produce a valid membership ID upon request by HFRFC staff. Lost cards will be replaced for a $5 fee.

TERMINATION:
Annual membership agreements may not be terminated by the member prior to the end of the annual term unless: (a) the member moves out of the area; or (b) the member cannot medically continue; or (c) member signed a month-to-month agreement. All termination requests pursuant to (a) and (b) above must be made in writing. For more information about the Club’s policies, visit hfracquetandfitness.com. The H-F Park District, South Suburban Special Recreation Association and Allenforce reserves the right to terminate the membership agreement when it deems, in sole discretion, that it is in the best interest of the Park District or the public.

PAYMENT:
If any payment payable to the HFRFC is not honored, in addition to the other rights it may have, the Park District shall have the right to (a) assess a service charge fee for each check or draft so dishonored to reimburse the Park District for the cost of collection; and (b) terminate this agreement in the case of repeated offenses and collect the entire balance due for the remainder of the membership year.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS:
All members must notify the HFRFC of any address, name changes or contact information.

H-F RACQUET & FITNESS CLUB FEES:
All members must “pay as you play.” Members are required to pay at the time of service. All members are asked to follow proper gym etiquette and be respectful and courteous to all members and staff.

LOCKERS/LOCKS:
The HFRFC is not responsible for the loss of personal property. Permanent lockers are available for rent. Daily lockers are available for men and women while they are in the building. Men and women must provide their own locks, which are to be removed from the lockers when leaving the premises. Locks left on overnight may be removed by management.
