Pool Rules & Guidelines
- Open Pool/Lap Swimming is CLOSED during scheduled activities or when otherwise posted.
- Activities marked with ** are paid programs. Click here to register at hfparks.com.
- Pool parties and pool rentals may take place on Saturday afternoons. Click here for party and rental information.
- Please be safe and swim at your own risk when participating in an aquatics activity when no lifeguard is on duty or during Open Swim.
- Participants under the age of 16 may swim only when accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult age 18 years of age or older.
- A maximum ratio of one adult per four children is required. The supervising adult must remain in the water and share the same lane as the children.
- The swim schedule is subject to change without notice.
- Circle swimming/walking (sharing lanes) should be utilized whenever there are more swimmers or walkers than lanes available. Please be courteous and ask before sharing a lane.
Pool Use & Supervision Policy
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all members, the pool is intended primarily for:
- Lap swimming
- Fitness swimming and aquatic exercise
- Water walking
- Swim instruction and skill practice
The pool is not intended for recreational play during regular pool hours. Members seeking a more casual swimming experience are encouraged to attend designated Family Swim sessions, which are reserved for leisure swimming and recreational pool activities.
Age Requirements:
Members Ages 16 and Older
- Members age 16 and older may use the pool without adult supervision.
Members Under Age 16
- Members under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult age 18 years of age or older.
- The supervising adult must remain in the water and stay in the same lane as the youth swimmer(s).
Supervision Ratio
- A maximum of four (4) youth swimmers under age 16 are permitted per lane for each supervising adult.
- Additional youth swimmers require an additional adult supervisor in the lane.
General Safety
- Running, horseplay, roughhousing, and disruptive recreational activities are not permitted during regular pool hours.
- All members must follow posted pool rules and directions from Club staff.
- Club staff reserve the right to enforce pool policies and determine appropriate supervision requirements as needed.
